شرکت MathWorks کامل‌ترین نرم‌افزارهای محاسباتی رایانه‌ای را تولید می‌کند؛ برنامه‌ی اصلی این شرکت که درواقع شناسنامه‌ی آن است، نرم‌افزار MATLAB (مخفف Matrix Laboratory و به‌معنی آزمایشگاه ماتریکس) می‌باشد که یکی از پیشرفته‌ترین نرم‌افزارهای محاسبات عددی و ریاضی و یک زبان برنامه‌نویسی پیشرفته و نسل چهارم است و امکان تجسم و رسم توابع و داده‌ها را فراهم می‌کند. آیکون و نشانه‌ی MATLAB که با لوگوی شرکت سازنده نیز یکسان است از معادله موج، غشاء L شکل و توابع ویژه استخراج شده است. از رقبای متلب می‌توان به Mathematica ،Maple و Mathcad اشاره کرد.

نسخه 2021a آپدیت 3 در تاریخ 12 شهریور 1400 روی ویندوز 10 ویرایش 64بیتی نصب و با موفقیت فعال شده است.
نسخه 2024b در تاریخ 9 مهر 1403 روی ویندوز 11 نصب و با موفقیت فعال شده است.
