LinSig یک نرم افزار تخصصی از سوی شرکت JCT Consultancy است که به مهندسان ترافیک اجازه میدهد تا سیگنالهای ترافیکی و تاثیر آن بر ظرفیتهای ترافیکی و صف بندی خودروها را مدل کنند. مدلسازی اثرات سیگنالهای ترافیکی باعث بهینه سازی زمان بندی سیگنالها به منظور کاهش تاخیر یا افزایش ظرفیت تقاطع ها و اتصالات بهینه خواهد شد. این برنامه توسط برایان سیمونیت در دهه 1980 توسعه یافت که تاکنون چندین بار توسط شرکت سازنده بروزرسانی شده است. این برنامه با استفاده از ترافیک نمایشی این کار را انجام میدهد و سیگنال تایمینگ تقاطع ها را به حداکثر ظرفیت آن بهینه میکند.

Hardware requirements
The absolute minimum hardware standard is:
PC with at least a 2Ghz processor or equivalent.
1Gb RAM.
25Mb of free hard disk space.
Minimum Graphics resolution of 1280×1024 with Full (32 bit) colour.
19” Monitor.
CD Drive (required for installation only).
A two-button mouse.
The suggested hardware standard is:
PC with a 3.0 GHz processor. Optimisation of larger networks benefits from a faster processor
2Gb RAM. Optimisation of larger networks will benefit from 3-4Gb of RAM
25Mb of free hard disk space.
Graphics resolution of 1920×1200 with full (32 bit) colour.
24″ 1920×1200 resolution monitor.
An additional monitor (with compatible graphics card(s)) is very useful but not essential. For larger networks a second monitor becomes essential for maximum productivity. In our experience a second monitor (cost ~£180) is one of the most cost effective ways of improving LinSig productivity. (And many other applications as well!!)
CD Drive (required for installation only).
A three-button wheel mouse. Not essential but extremely useful for zooming graphical views.
Please note that depending on the version of Windows you are using, the hardware requirements for Windows may exceed the above.
Software requirements
LinSig 3 can be used on any of the following platforms:
Microsoft Windows 10
Microsoft Windows 8
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit)
Microsoft Windows Vista
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft .Net Version 2.0 or 3.5 is also required to be present.
Although LinSig 3 is no longer formally supported on earlier versions of Windows, it is envisaged that LinSig should run successfully on:
Microsoft Windows 2000 with Internet Explorer Version 5.5 or above.
LinSig 3 will not run on Windows 98 or below.
